Sen. Marty Golden will be hosting a community meeting for the residents in the Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Manhattan Beach communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 28th, at 7:00pm in the P.S. 277 auditorium, located at 2529 Gerritsen Ave.
NYS Financial Services Superintendent Ben Lawsky and his staff will be attending, along with the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit Commissioner, Nazli Parvizi, and representatives from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Grid, and Con Edison.
Sen. Golden believes that, each and every day, the people and communities of Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Manhattan Beach are making progress to fix the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy; however, there is no denying that those affected still need his, and these agencies’ assistance. He will continue to work with affected families and businesses, so that they can return to normal as soon a possible.
This meeting will be another step forward on the road to recovery!
