      • 200 homes are without power because Con Ed doesn’t have access to those homes.  A rough total of about 300 homes are still without power.
      • Be sure to register for the NYC Rapid Repairs program.  You MUST have a FEMA number to register. Click here for more information.
      • Homeowners who have already qualified for FEMA housing assistance grants can now also obtain up to an additional $10,000 through the Governor’s Disaster Homeownership Repair and Rebuilding Fund. You MUST have a FEMA number, and certain criteria must be met.  Click here for details.
      • The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is responsible for providing affordable, timely and accessible financial assistance to homeowners, renters and businesses following a disaster.  Apply with them for a personal property loan for your home and/or car.  Click here for information.
      • 11/22 - The annual Ragamuffin Parade will begin at 10:00 am, starting at Plumb 2nd & Ave. W, and ending at Vollies Hall. Santa will be there for the children.
      • 11/22 – Thanksgiving Dinners:
        • Court Club:  Two Sittings, at 2pm & 4pm, call or stop by to sign up
        • AOH & Vollies: Serving Dinner @ 3:00 pm, call or stop by to sign up
        • P.S. 277 & VFW also serving
        • Sponsored by Family 2 Family, The Vollies & AOH are working together to distribute Thanksgiving-In-A-Box meals at Volley Hall beginning at 10:00am. 50 meals available, which serve 6 – 10 people. First come, first serve basis
      • 11/23 – Black Friday Sandy Relief Block Party from 12:30 – 4:30 across from Court Club
      • 11/24 – Gerritsen Beach Children’s Day, sponsored by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, from 1:00 – 4:00 in Resurrection School Auditorium
